Your privacy is important to us, so we’ll always keep your details secure. We share data only with Swim England in order to comply with the child protection policy (as part of the Swim England Wave-power policy). We do not routinely share your data with any other organisations. We will never use your data for marketing communications that you haven’t agreed to receive, and if you have agreed to receive marking communications, you can change your mind at any time.
The personal data we store and use is collected via the membership application form. The data is processed and managed by the Membership Secretary.
We hold your data for the purposes of:
- Administration of payments
- Dissemination of relevant information about term dates, events and training courses
- Relevant medical information is provided to the coaching staff on a need to know basis to promote the health, safety and wellbeing of every member
- Emergency contact in the event of an illness or injury
- Member satisfaction surveys
It is important that we retain accurate and up-to-date personal data. Should there be any change in your personal details eg change of address or new medical condition, please notify the Membership Secretary in writing.
We aim to contact you using the most appropriate method. This may be by post / email / SMS / MMS / online or by phone, depending upon the urgency or type of message.
You may request information on any data we hold about you at any time, or you may change your mind about whether to receive information as you stated on the membership form. Please contact us in writing – we will aim to send you the information free of charge within a month.
Personal data shall be retained for the duration of membership after which time, request may be made to remove personal data from our records.
